Video on Vision for Change Shows Progress in Côte d’Ivoire

What does our Vision for Change program in Côte d’Ivoire look like on the ground?  How will it help farmers in Soubré?  What do the farmers themselves think of the effort to train them in methods like grafting and pruning?  You can find the answer to these questions in our new video on Vision for Change.

In the video, you will see the kinds of hands-on training farmers are receiving at one of our Cocoa Development Centers, but you will also hear directly from farmers Voukou Zézé Henri and Komenan Albert describing the challenges they face in making their farms more productive.  You will also see Barry Parkin, Mars Global Procurement and Sustainability Head, discussing how it is that this effort will help farmers meet those challenges.  Finally, you will hear from Georges Gonbagui Gué, Préfet de Soubré, outlining how these efforts will help farmers in Soubré and beyond reinvest in their farms and their communities.

It is exciting to see with our own eyes vibrant cocoa trees producing health cocoa pods.  But more importantly, we are encouraged by the positive response we’ve received from cocoa farmers all across Soubré, which are reflected in this video. You can also watch it on the blog’s video page or at our YouTube channel.
