Happy Valentine’s Day to cocoa lovers everywhere!
As a newer member of the cocoa sustainability team handling communications, I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Christopher Davault, and I am the Global Manager for Cocoa Sustainability and Leadership Communications at Mars Global Chocolate. I lead both internal and external global communication initiatives for the Sustainable Cocoa Initiative and am the point person for all media contact at the global level. I also manage both internal and external communication coming from the Office of the President of Mars, Global Chocolate. Prior to working at Mars Global Chocolate, I worked in Washington, DC at the US-UAE Business Council and the US Chamber of Commerce, where I facilitated business relationships between the US and UAE and other Middle Eastern companies. I have a Masters degree in Public Administration from Virginia Polytechnic and State University and currently live in Hackettstown, NJ.
As we enter into the fourth year of the Sustainable Cocoa Initiative, we are seeing a lot of progress among industry and stakeholders in putting farmers first and making cocoa more sustainable. We are looking forward to communicating even more exciting developments to you in 2014. In the meantime, make sure to enjoy your chocolates on this Valentine’s Day!
